Marcus Schmidt, a Senior Marketing Manager at Microsoft, is in the Windows Business Group responsible as the Community Manager for Windows. We talk about Microsoft’s engagement with consumers on diverse social media properties, the intention and the motivation.

During the post-production of the episode, we learnt that after over twelve and a half years at Microsoft, Marcus has decided to leave the company and start a new chapter in his personal and professional life. We planned to publish this episode on his last day at Microsoft, as a sort of a farewell gesture, but decided against it due to the PDC  ’09 activity. We wish him good luck as a community guy, and in his professional endeavors.
