Episode 11: Microsoft Office 2010 launch special with Doug Thomas

Abhishek Baxi and Manan, with Doug Thomas

Microsoft Office

Doug Thomas creates videos of simple solutions for getting the most out of Microsoft Office on The Microsoft Office Blog in a series known as Office Casual. He also blogs and works on the Top Templates series. Doug joins us from the thick of things (read as Office 2010 launch) for a free-wheeling chat about everything Office. He’s as excited about the launch as us (Just a tad busier than us though).

MS Office 2010, is actually pretty cool, you can do a ton more stuff with word, you can make PDFs, and it has a whole new set of text graphics with drop shadows and glow effects, you can actually do cool stuff with it now, there is a lot more to it then was with 2007, they still have that old ribbon, but now it looks cooler and simpler.
I tried Beta and loved 2010 the most, also wrote a blog post about all features.
Coming to point, your episodes are really simple and great…can't resist to download it…also waiting for any episodes related to new Windows Live Essentials…as it also have many cool features…

It's great that you guys can have such a casual conversation with an MSFT employee. His particular area of work & hence the subject of this talk was a tad bit uninteresting to me, because I like technical stuff better.

    Thanks for the feedback.

We do have diverse guests on the show, although we don't delve deep into any technology. Hope you'll find other episodes interesting.
