just played this podcast on powerpoint 2010 in our office – great to hear Geetesh Bajaj from http://www.indezine.com is so excited… we are too!! glad to have found this site.. thanks guys
Your page is not user friendly at all.
I have tried to download PPT presentations and templates and I had to re-subscribe 6 times at no avail BECAUSE i STIL CAN'R DOWNLOAD WHAT i WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vicky, do you realize that the issue you're facing is with indezine/ppted, and not 'our page'?
Having said that, I've been a regular at Geetesh's web properties, and have had fair experience, so not sure why you are having a hard time out there. This ofcourse, can be incidental.
While I've become accustom to the ribbon in office 2007 I still find everything is at least two clicks away and some stuff is really hidden. I still MUCH prefer the toolbars where I could customize them and add ALL of the tools I use. In a heart beat I'd go back to the toolbars. I'm very disappointed that MS has not given us a choice between the ribbon and the toolbar. Of the users and clients I interface with none like the ribbon and find it to be a productivity loss.
I think Office 2010 allows some ribbon customization, so that should be beneficial.
Guys, I really like your podcast. I especially liked the information on Office 2010 – I've been using the technical preview of Project 2010 and have been enjoying it a lot. As a fanatical user of OneNote, I'm very much looking forward to the 2010 version that incorporates the ribbon. Say what you will about the ribbon, I think it's handy and it looks better than the old menu system.
All these years of getting Geetesh Bajaj newsletters on PowerPoint presentations, it was great to hear his voice. Windows 2010 does sound exciting. I am one of those still working with 2003 and with your recommendations, might just skip 2007 and go directly to 2010. thanks,

I've pre-purchased Windows 7, looking forward to seeing what it is like. Also, now you've got my interest up about Office 2010. I've learned to like the 2007 features and hope the usability is continued and even improved.
Thank you for the dropping by! Appreciate the feedback
@Stevearmstrong I'm using the Technical Preview build on a Windows 7 machine and am liking it. It has a better feel to itself compared to Office 2007. As Geetesh said, Office 2007 has matured into Office 2010.
